Snr. Electrical Project Manager Job Description


LiveWire Construction, Inc. is seeking to fill the role of Senior Project Manager for our fast-paced, growing organization. This position comes with the opportunity for professional leadership growth and development and requires a minimum of 10 yrs. experience specializing in lighting, power, and low voltage systems. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal Senior Project Manager is a seasoned electrical construction professional with deep expertise in lighting systems, power distribution, and low‑voltage systems. They have a proven track record managing large‑scale commercial, industrial, and data center electrical projects, often multi‑million‑dollar in scope, from preconstruction through closeout. This individual excels at driving project safety, schedule adherence, and cost control while coordinating field teams, subcontractors and vendors. They bring strong technical knowledge of electrical construction methods, code compliance, and system integration, ensuring high‑quality installations that meet client expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Overseeing projects from conception, design, and procurement to installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • System Coordination: Managing installation for lighting fixtures, power distribution boards, power monitoring, and low-voltage systems (security, fire alarms, IT/data networks).
  • Budget & Scheduling: Managing project finances, labor hours, material procurement, and creating detailed schedules (using MS Excel or ProNovos).
  • Technical Coordination: Working with field personnel, electrical engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to CEC, NEC, and local codes, including OSHA safety requirements. 


Other duties:

  • Project preconstruction and planning including review of specifications and drawings, material and subcontractor buyout, and cashflow projections
  • Contract review and negotiation; administration during life of the project to protect company from risk
  • Identification of project impacts and delays, timely notifications per the contract documents, and detailed documentation preparation to prepare and submit claims
  • Preparation of project baseline schedules and schedule updates through the life of the project; using actual versus baseline to substantiate delays and impacts as appropriate
  • Change order management including scope definition and pricing
  • Field productivity tracking estimate vs. actual, and course correction to protect labor budget and project profit
  • Project safety ownership including weekly audits and incident investigation and reporting; positive contributor to company safety culture
  • Management and training of Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers, and/or Project Managers; delegation of tasks and duties to maximize management capacity and project volume managed by team
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships resulting in repeat business


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in electrical construction or industrial project management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of power distribution, lighting controls, and low-voltage cabling; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and construction management software

  • Commercial / Industrial / Manufacturing: Installing new electrical power distribution, lighting, life safety, low voltage and control systems.
