Job description

Seasonal 

Schedule/Availability Flexible availability required. Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and early mornings/late afternoons to support site turns, events, and peak occupancy. Overtime may be required during high-volume periods or after severe weather.

Position Summary

As a Grounds Ambassador, you will maintain site readiness, cleanliness, and safety across all areas of the RV resort. Responsibilities include continuous property rounds, valet-style trash service, site turns, and amenity resets, while also supporting guest needs and enhancing the overall experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrounds & Resort Maintenance
  • Provide valet-style trash service and perform scheduled waste runs, ensuring guest areas remain clean, odor-free, and compliant with safety standards
  • Maintain property-wide cleanliness by collecting litter, clearing debris, and preserving curb appeal across RV sites, roadways, landscaping, and amenities
  • Complete full RV site turns including trash removal, raking/sweeping pads, resetting picnic tables, and inspecting grills/fire pits
  • Clean and maintain dog parks, pet stations, and waste areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and areas remain sanitary
  • Ensure grills and fire pits are cleaned, safe, stocked, and guest-ready at all times
Resort Operations & Support
  • Assist with propane exchanges/refills (as assigned)
  • Set up and reset guest-use amenities such as chairs, umbrellas, games, and event equipment
  • Support amenity areas (pool deck, restrooms, laundry, playground, pavilion, lakefront) by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and supply levels
  • Operate grounds equipment safely including leaf blowers, pressure washers, weed eaters, and hand tools
Safety, Monitoring & Compliance
  • Perform routine property rounds to identify hazards (spills, debris, potholes, lighting issues, standing water)
  • Monitor traffic flow and enforce safe speeds for vehicles, golf carts, and recreational devices
  • Respond immediately to safety concerns such as broken glass or trip hazards
  • Document and report maintenance needs, vandalism, lost & found items, or guest concerns
Guest Experience & Service
  • Serve as a visible, approachable, and friendly presence for all guests
  • Provide directions, answer questions, and assist with minor guest needs
  • Support arrival and check-in flow (as assigned), including site inspections and readiness checks
  • Provide resort orientation and personalized tours when needed
  • Utilize professional communication and service recovery techniques when addressing guest concerns
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams using radio, Microsoft Teams, and email
Team Support
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown
  • Support high-demand operational periods with urgency and flexibility
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow emergency procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate golf carts and vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in RV resort, campground, hospitality, or facilities operations
  • Familiarity with grounds equipment and basic maintenance tools
  • Guest services or front desk experience in hospitality
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Experience using mobile devices for checklists, communication, and reporting
