Legacy of Delano, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Cook - Part Time - to join our growing team!
Legacy of Delano is a fun filled Senior Living Facility, located right off of Highway 12 in Delano, near Coborn's. It has 51 total units, between both Assistant Living, Independent, and Memory Care Apartments. Delano is a growing community with compassionate team members, who help our residents AGE Magnificently, join our team today!
Shifts Available: Part Time every other weekend. (630a-130p)
Wage: $17.50-$22.50 per hour
Are you compassionate towards others? Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? If so, we want you to join our team and help seniors Age Magnificently! Our Cook/Chef becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.
Duties include:
  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
  • Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
  • Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
  • Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
