Job description

Middlesex Management is currently hiring enthusiastic individuals to immediately fill the full-time position of Live-in Superintendent for a property in Ewing, NJ. (Apartment included as part of compensation package)


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems, equipment, and common areas
  • Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly, coordinating contractors when necessary
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of property grounds to a high standard
  • Communicate regularly with the Property Manager, reporting any building deficiencies
  • Assist in enforcing building rules and policies in a professional manner
  • Manage resident move-ins and move-outs, including elevator bookings and coordination
  • Oversee third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of the on-call rotation
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and tenants
  • Support the Property Manager in additional areas as issues arise


Qualifications & Skills

  • 3 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing fields preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to take direction and work effectively under supervision
  • General knowledge of building systems and operations
  • Skilled in handling minor repairs and coordinating contractors for larger projects
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with patience and a common-sense approach
  • Professional demeanor and responsiveness to residents’ needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Basic administrative and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and property-related software (e.g., security or intercom systems)
