Job description

Building Maintenance - Warren, Michigan
Standard Day Shift (6am) Contract position
Pay Rate: up to $27.20 per hour
Summary of the Building Maintenance position:
Repairs and maintains mechanical, HVAC, and electrical equipment as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Building Maintenance position:
  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment in the manufacturing area for malfunctions
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area
  • Replace light bulbs inside as well as outside of building, including parking lot area
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair
  • Repairs broken parts
  • Moves office walls and furniture as needed
  • Performs light duty work on company vehicles
  • Performs light duty work on hi-lo
  • Performs maintenance on building (fix windows, doors, floors)
  • Performs light duty on HVAC systems
  • Inspects overhead cranes daily
  • Understands and follows corporate safety and environmental rules. Inclusive of wearing PPE and completing mandatory training
  • Adheres to Quality System and participates in continuous improvement
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of job

Education and Experience Requirements of the Building Maintenance position:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Plumbing and HVAC experience required
  • Minimal electrical experience required
