Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Bensalem, PA

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Job Summary

Our client, a well-established manufacturing and warehouse facility in Bensalem, PA, is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the facility through preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of both warehouse and office areas.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance who can work independently and take pride in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of the facility and identify maintenance needs
  • Complete general building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, shelving, handrails, and other building fixtures
  • Replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, and ceiling tiles
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Complete painting, drywall patching, and basic carpentry projects
  • Maintain warehouse and office areas to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs when necessary
  • Maintain maintenance records and document completed work
  • Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of general building systems, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and repair work
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and reaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
