GSE Mechanic Ground Support Equipment Mechanic


Join a Growing Aviation MRO Team

Avocet Aviation Services is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to support our FAA Part 145 Repair Station operations at Orlando Sanford International Airport. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment that keeps our aircraft maintenance and teardown operations running safely and efficiently.


If you have experience working on diesel equipment, forklifts, generators, hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, or airport ground support equipment, we want to hear from you.


What You'll Do

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on GSE equipment including aircraft tugs, forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, generators, compressors, GPUs, service vehicles, and hydraulic carts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gasoline, and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain maintenance records.
  • Support aircraft maintenance and teardown operations by ensuring equipment reliability and availability.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational support needs.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in aviation, heavy equipment, diesel, industrial, automotive, or related fields.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Aviation or airport experience preferred but not required.
