POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Product Manager to support a portfolio of physical products, specifically professional hand tools, across the US and Canadian markets. This is a hands-on, hardware-focused product management role encompassing product development, lifecycle management, and market execution.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in product management, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is looking to grow into a more strategic leadership role within a global product organization. You will collaborate closely with senior product leaders, global R&D and engineering teams, sales, and marketing to bring high-quality professional tools to market.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product & Market Execution:

  • Support the execution of product strategies for the North American market using market, customer, and competitor insights.
  • Assist in managing the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, optimization, and discontinuation.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product decisions.
  • Help define product specifications, features, and value propositions aligned to customer pain points.

Product Development & Delivery:

  • Work closely with global R&D, design, and sourcing teams to support product development projects.
  • Contribute to product briefs, specifications, and development documentation.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and risks to support on-time delivery.
  • Participate in product testing, validation, and feedback loops.

Go-to-Market & Launch Support:

  • Support successful product launches by coordinating with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Assist with go-to-market planning including pricing, packaging, and promotional inputs.
  • Help prepare sales tools, product training materials, and launch communications.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and gather insights to inform improvements.

Commercial & Business Support:

  • Contribute to business cases for new products, range extensions, and refreshes.
  • Track product performance, margins, and key KPIs post-launch.
  • Support range reviews and rationalization activities.

Customer & Market Engagement:

  • Engage with distributors, sales teams, and end users to gather product feedback.
  • Participate in tradeshows, customer visits, and industry events across the North American region.
  • Bring the voice of the customer into product decisions.

Compliance & Quality:

  • Support ensuring products meet US and Canadian regulatory, safety, and quality standards prior to launch.
  • Assist with issue resolution relating to quality, compliance, or performance where required.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years' experience in product management or a closely related role.
  • Experience within tools, hardware, or durable consumer goods preferred.
  • Exposure to managing products through at least part of the product lifecycle.
  • Understanding of US and Canadian markets and distribution models.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and customer insights.
  • Good project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
