Position Summary:

New Atlantic is a leading commercial construction company known for our commitment to quality, safety, and integrity. We serve a wide range of clients across North Carolina and Southern Virginia in education, healthcare, commercial, and institutional markets.

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to assist with field operations on commercial projects in the Triangle/Raleigh market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of the construction schedule and sequences of work.
  • Schedule, deliver, coordinate logistics, control quality, and determine employee staffing levels for trade employees.
  • Resolve local area issues related to procedures, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment, schedule, and all other appropriate matters.
  • Review the plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules and advise the project team of issues or deficiencies.
  • Fully understand all contracts, subcontracts, drawings, specifications, shop drawings, schedules, and local codes.
  • Ensure that the work is installed following the approved contract documents.
  • Provide oversight of the site safety program and ensure subcontractors comply with all applicable safety codes and regulations and ensure OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Create a punch list for subcontractors.
Qualifications:
  • 10 years of field experience on commercial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to work on projects with little to no other on‑site supervision.
  • Understanding of all disciplines on the project site.
  • Ability to represent the company well in meetings and communicate with designers and clients.
  • Ability to review, comment, and edit project schedules.
  • Fully understand all shop drawings and submittals for all project disciplines.
