Job description

Overview
The Windows System Administrator provides support and administration of the CAA and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) in a Windows Server distributed environment. The Windows System Administrator provides support and administration of the CAA and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) in a Windows Server distributed environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide system design and analysis in support of program and mission-specific server environments.
• Maintain server efficiency by continuously monitoring system performance, enhancing system responsiveness, and managing disk space utilization
• Ensure current patching requirements are met by performing Automated Service Interruptions (ASIs) in accordance with approved schedules and system availability requirements.
• Maintain a robust and stable network environment by conducting regular system testing and preventive maintenance activities. All testing and maintenance efforts shall be documented and aligned with established configuration management and change control processes.
• Implement and verify that all preventive security measures are operational and compliant with applicable cybersecurity policies and directives.
• Provide weekly audit reports from all mission servers maintained by HNC-TO and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve incidents or anomalies identified through system audits and event logs.
• Provide troubleshooting support to identify and resolve network component and configuration issues. Analyze problem areas, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions to restore full network functionality.
• Install, test, maintain, upgrade, and develop production and development servers and application software.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled backups on production and development systems to include validation of backups, backup plan, disaster recovery plan, and backup of data before ASI.
• Review audit logs and recover data on operational systems as required.
• Enforce DoW system and security policies, establish and monitor user accounts, install system upgrades, manage system resources, optimize system efficiencies, and ensure only authorized personnel access data.
• Implement applicable patches, including Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), IA Vulnerability Bulletins (IAVB), Technical Advisories (TA), and Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO) for all applicable operational systems. STIG
Compliance: Maintain Operating System (OS) software and hardware in accordance with applicable STIG guidance.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT related degree with 4 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience performing Automated Service Interruptions (ASIs) and STIG compliance.
• Have and maintain IAT Level II baseline certification,
• Registered IAT Level II baseline certification: either CCNA Security, CySA+**, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, and SSCP (preferred Security+ CE certificate)
• Secret Clearance
