Job description

Overview
Supervises Linen Techs and contributes to the strategic initiatives of Supply Chain Services by providing supervision and leadership to Linen Service customers ensuring all their requirements are met by proper linen supply inventory, replenishment, analytics and project support. Through collaboration with the Linen Services Manager, Assistant manager and staff, and accountability with overall Supply Chain Services goals, the Linen Services Supervisor will aid in deployment the system-wide approach for end-to-end Linen Services integration and continuously improve customer service and support to customers. Provide recommendations regarding process improvement opportunities. Works closely with Manager and Assistant Manager of the Shands campus, as well as with offsite clinical customers, to receive ongoing feedback in order to adjust inventory levels and improve service provisions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school degree.
  • 3 or more years of experience, of which 1 of the years should be in a lead or supervisory capacity, in a linen operation is required.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
