Job description

Location: Richmond, VA / Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00AM to 1:30PM / $18.35 Hourly with Excellent Benefits

Linen Technicians are responsible for distributing clean linen and collecting soiled linen within the hospital. They are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the linen room and ensuring it meets all necessary linen storage requirements.

We are seeking someone who will be able to:

  • Order and maintain accurate inventory within linen room and corresponding hospital(s).
  • Verify accuracy of linen orders prior to delivery.
  • Deliver linen orders to departments within the hospital.
  • Collect soiled linens from departments within the hospital and consolidate and place linen carts in assigned areas.
  • Assist Customer Service Reps with urgent requests for linen delivery within the hospital.
  • Ensure linen rooms are clean and well organized at all times.
  • Keep supervisor and/or Customer Service Rep aware of service problems or concerns within the hospital.
  • Comply with all hospital rules and regulations as applicable.


The ideal candidate must:


  • Be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to push/pull linen carts weighing up to 450 pounds.
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds overhead.
  • Effectively communicate important information to customers and/or management.
  • Understand and comply with all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
