Overview:
Sentara Urgent Care is now hiring Limited Scope/Certified Medical Assistants for Full-time, Part-time and Flexi roles in Virginia and Elizabeth City! Various locations throughout Virginia are available. Candidates will need both LSRT and MA certifications (active and current).
**All Qualified Candidates Will Receive a Sign-on Bonus for Full-time and Part-time roles**
Schedule: Clinic hours - 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm. Schedule will vary based on needs of the clinic.
In Medical Assistant role, performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In Radiology Tech Limited role, provides patient care and limited skills in the performance of Radiographic examinations. Must practice within the limited scope as defined by the State Department of Health Professions. May only perform the following radiology examinations: Chest; extremities, pectoral girdle; skull/sinuses; spine; In addition, may perform abdominal and pelvic radiographic exams with appropriate evidence of training as stated in the State Department of Health Professions regulations on Limited Radiologic Technologists. Demonstrates the ability to maintain stable performance under stressful conditions; organizes and manages work to achieve results.
Education
  • HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
  • Trade School or higher graduate

Certification/Licensure
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification - Required ***
  • Limited Radiology Technician state license as needed by state - Required ***
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days from hire - Required ***

Experience
  • Clinical experience preferred
