Job description

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required

License: State or Compact license required

Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, ARRT VI, CCI RCIS

Must-Have:

  • Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently

Description: The position requires a qualified technologist to work in an Interventional Radiology unit. The technologist will be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of interventional procedures. Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology is required. Candidates must hold current certifications in ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, ARRT VI, and CCI RCIS. The position involves a rotating call schedule, which includes 1 weekday and every 4th weekend. Facility supports a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit averages around 10 patients. The scope of procedures performed includes but is not limited to angiointervention, catheter placements, biopsies, and management of vascular access devices. Specialty equipment utilized includes advanced imaging technologies. The candidate must be familiar with applicable safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Strong monitoring skills and the ability to recognize life-threatening situations are essential. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. The technologist will assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care. A commitment to ongoing education and skill enhancement is encouraged. Candidates are expected to manage their time effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills.
