How much do limber jobs pay per hour?

As of May 30, 2026, the average hourly pay for limber in the United States is $31.95, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $26.92 and $35.58 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Limber, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Limber (a forestry worker responsible for trimming branches and assisting with tree felling), you need strong physical fitness, knowledge of safe tree-cutting techniques, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with chainsaws, hand saws, safety harnesses, and personal protective equipment is essential, and certification in OSHA safety standards is often preferred. Attention to detail, teamwork, and situational awareness are important soft skills for ensuring safety and efficiency. These skills help minimize workplace accidents and support the successful completion of forestry operations.

What are some typical physical and safety challenges faced by Limbers, and how are they addressed on the job?

Limbers often work in physically demanding and potentially hazardous outdoor environments, where they remove branches and clear brush to assist tree-felling operations. Common challenges include working at heights, handling sharp tools, and navigating uneven terrain. To address these risks, employers provide thorough safety training, require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets and chainsaw-resistant clothing, and promote teamwork to ensure tasks are performed safely. Regular safety meetings and adherence to industry standards are also crucial for minimizing accidents.

What are Limber workers?

Limber workers are flexible, temporary staff who find shift-based work through the Limber platform, primarily in the hospitality and retail industries. Limber connects businesses with individuals seeking short-term roles such as waiting staff, bartenders, baristas, and kitchen assistants. Workers can choose when and where they work, allowing for maximum flexibility and control over their schedules. The platform handles payments, shift management, and reviews, making it easy for both workers and employers to connect.
