To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a US Quotations Manager located in Henrico, VA.

Reporting to the Global Sales Operations Director, the US Quotations Manager will lead a team of Application Engineers focused on delivering accurate, timely, and profitable quotations that support the company's growth objectives. This role combines technical leadership with strong commercial and financial acumen to ensure all proposals align with customer requirements, internal cost models, margin expectations, and operational capabilities.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Application Engineers responsible for technical quotations, proposal generation, and pre-sales support.

  • Manage workload balancing, resource planning, and prioritization across strategic opportunities and daily quote demand.

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate, competitive, and commercially sound quotations for standard, engineered, and strategic opportunities.

  • Ensure all quotations reflect current technical scope, labor assumptions, material costs, manufacturing constraints, and delivery timelines.

  • Review quote profitability, gross margin, operating profit, and commercial risk prior to submission.

  • Learn, adapt, and operate within the Flex Global Cost Model.

  • Support complex bids, large tenders, and custom opportunities requiring executive visibility and cross-functional coordination.

  • Analyze quote-level P&L performance, pricing strategies, cost structures, and margin leakage trends.

  • Partner with Finance and Pricing teams to optimize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.

  • Provide leadership with reporting on quote conversion, margin attainment, revenue pipeline quality, and financial performance.

  • Evaluate and streamline quoting workflows, approvals, and handoffs between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management.

  • Standardize quotation templates, costing methods, documentation, and governance processes.

  • Reduce cycle times while improving quote accuracy and internal responsiveness.

  • Establish scalable processes to support growth, strategic accounts, and increasingly complex customer demands.

  • Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure estimates reflect real-time business conditions.

  • Align quoting activity with SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning), capacity planning, and demand forecasts.

  • Support seamless handoff of awarded projects into order execution and delivery teams.

  • Act as a key liaison between commercial and operational functions to improve decision-making speed and quality.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience managing technical quoting, applications engineering, estimating, or sales operations teams.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, pricing strategy, gross margin, and quote-level P&L analysis.

  • Advanced knowledge of CRM, ERP, CPQ, and data reporting tools.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior commercial leaders.

  • Demonstrated success driving process improvement and cross-functional execution.
