Authorization Coordinator - Cal AIM Requirements:ย 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in authorization coordination or a related role within the CalAIM field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.ย 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.ย 
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and internet-based applications.ย 
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.ย 
  • Ability to pass a federal background screen.ย 
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.ย 

Essential Functions:

  • Authorization Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of service authorizations, from initial requests to renewals.ย 
  • Ensure that utilization is tracked and managed accurately to maximize approved hours.ย 
  • Verify that all service hours are applied appropriately and in compliance with guidelines.ย 
  • Documentation and Compliance:ย Maintain accurate records of authorizations and renewals in the company's CRM system.ย 
  • Ensure all processes comply with state regulations and Cal AIMย requirements.ย 
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for authorization-related inquiries from families and Cal AIM representatives.ย 
  • Provide clear, timely updates to families and caregivers regarding authorization statuses.ย 
  • Relationship Building:ย Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and Cal AIM representatives.ย
