Position Information
Job Title Library Circulation Student Assistant - Monday through Thursday noon to 5pm Position Summary
This position is required to work:
Monday through Thursday noon to 5pm
-Provide clerical and receptionist support for the West library.
-Provide outstanding customer service.
-Process incoming and outgoing materials.
-Provide basic computer and copier assistance.
-Shelving of books and materials.
-Inventory books and materials to maintain good order of the stacks.
-Cleaning throughout the library.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Must be detail-oriented and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
-Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Must be proactive and able to engage with a diverse constituency.
-Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills.
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Some college preferred
Experience
- Computer experience
- Experience in a higher education setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office
