Job description

TASK DESCRIPTION:

This position is located with the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Organizational Level Maintenance Activity at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base to provide assistance in the coordination of procedures to establish and maintain storage and control systems for aviation technical publications.

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Provide technical expertise and advice on programs necessary to maintain technical publications libraries.
  1. Provide assistance in the development, implementation and coordination of:
  1. A technical publications change program and the incorporation of changes into publications.
  2. Programs for storage, custody, cataloging, and control and issue of classified publications and

material.

  1. Procedures to monitor the operation of the organizational unit libraries.
  2. Establish programs to manage technical documentation applicable to aircraft and aircraft-related programs.
  1. Receive, inventory, and issue maintenance publications to include applicable technical directives.This includes the automated version of F/A-18 Publications
  1. Maintain the Central Technical Publications Library in accordance with NA00-25-100.
  1. Provide assistance in establishing programs to control classified publications and material in accordance with applicable KAF and U.S. Department of Defense directives.
  1. Support on-the-job training and cross-training of KAF personnel.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prior military experience with a minimum of five years in an aviation maintenance administration billet.
  1. Working experience of programs and procedures to establish and maintain storage libraries and control systems for aviation technical publications, technical drawings, and specifications, including classified publications and material.
  1. Must be computer literate and have experience with commercial word processing programs and be able to load, maintain and update software.
  1. Secret security clearance is required.
