The Role

Please note that this is a 1-year fixed-term opportunity. 

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week in our Toronto office.

The Media Asset Manager is responsible for the overall heath and maintenance of Boat Rocker Right's media inventory and the associated processes that govern it.   In this role you will manage delivery schedules, receive incoming media and supporting assets from BRR clients, review all received materials for technical completeness, inventory and store all incoming assets, respond to all internal and external queries regarding BRR media, assist BRR staff in locating and accessing media as required.
Responsibilities

  • Manage Boat Rocker Rights' digital and physical media libraries, including proper storage of incoming materials, movement of media to archive and disposal of media when required.
  • Ensure prompt and professional communication concerning media delivery dates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review all incoming media and supporting assets to ensure compliance with Boat Rocker Rights' media acquisition policies.
  • Create screeners for internal and external stakeholders as requested.
  • Support the Boat Rocker Brands team with media access and media creation as required.
  • Assist internal teams with media access as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience working in media operations at a television distributor, as a media library, in post-production, or in media presentation is required.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Media Encoder is required.
  • Knowledge of professional media codecs, transcoding, and international broadcast standards is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/365 is required.
  • A proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines is an asset.
  • Organizational skills are a must-have.
  • A willingness to independently research solutions and implement them as required.
  • Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish (any dialect) is considered a major asset.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
