Job description

The Librarian is responsible for all phases of the library operations including the administration, implementation, and assessment of the Keiser library system. The Librarian administers programs of library services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Librarians are responsible for acquiring, organizing, managing, distributing, and providing training on the use of informational resources and services. Librarians ensure that the library provides all of the necessary resources and services to meet the educational program requirements for the educational programs offered by the university. Tasks may include selecting, cataloguing, classifying, circulating, and maintaining library materials; and furnishing reference, bibliographical, and readers' advisory services. May perform in-depth, strategic research, and synthesize, analyze, edit, and filter information. May set up or work with databases and information systems to catalogue and access information.
The Librarian must have the following:
  • Master's Degree in Library/Media Services
    • Must be from an American Library Association Accredited University
  • Minimum of 3-4+ years' experience
