Job Description

The Library Graduate Assistant supports key services in the Montgomery Library, by assisting full-time employees in all library areas. This position will gain hands-on experience in research support, customer service, project management, and digital content creation while assisting students, faculty, and staff.

This position requires availability during evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with circulation and basic reference services at the library service desk and library chat during operating hours.

  • Provide one-on-one support to students and faculty in locating library materials and using databases.

  • Contribute to library outreach, including creating flyers, social media posts, and event support.

  • Assist in a digitization project aimed at capturing the voice of the university through the creation of a comprehensive picture archive. This includes scanning, metadata creation, and organizing digital assets for public access.

  • Collaborate with staff on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a graduate program at Campbellsville University.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to learn new systems and have an eye for attention to detail.

  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.

  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn library tools and technologies.

  • Nights and weekends are required
