Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences – Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine & Renown Health

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) and Renown Health invite applications for a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time academic appointment with a robust clinic practice in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry across various outpatient multidisciplinary clinics and potential for specialty clinics in collaboration with therapists.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO and Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teaching and scholarly activity
  • Eligible for Nevada medical licensure, state pharmacy and DEA

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a unique collaboration between UNR Med, Renown Health and several community-based clinical partners. The division aims to improve the mental health of Nevada youths through direct patient care and by training the next generation of knowledgeable, skilled and empathetic child and adolescent psychiatrists. This division emphasizes treatment with a balance of biological and psychosocial interventions at the individual, family and systems-based levels.
