This is a full time, 10 month position and is eligible for benefits. Pay is based on experience and education, ranging $16.29 - $24.49/hour.
Purpose
Provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative support to the elementary school Principals, students and staff. Use judgement and initiative to determine the best approach or course of action for daily routine and non-routine situations. Address a variety of issues and/or provide general support necessary to ensure efficient and effective school operations.
Qualifications
Requires 3-5 years experience as secretary/administrative assistant. Ability to multi-task and complete major projects is critical. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Ability to successfully interact and build relationships with a variety of individuals, such as students, parents, staff, community members, etc., as evidenced by previous customer service experience. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks in a composed and timely manner. Ability to be a team member. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to compose and edit correspondence, newsletters and other documents as well as communicate effectively with students, staff and the public. Proven telephone etiquette. Attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills required with the ability to independently follow-up where necessary while maintaining confidentiality. Requires basic math skills for daily usage. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be determined to be appropriate and acceptable.
