Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate individual to join our team as a High School Librarian in Monahans, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the school library, promoting a love for reading and learning, and providing valuable resources to support the educational needs of high school students.
Responsibilities:
  • Library Management:
    • Organize and maintain the school library, ensuring a welcoming and conducive learning environment.
    • Develop and implement library policies and procedures.
    • Catalog and manage the library's collection, including books, digital resources, and other educational materials.
  • Curriculum Support:
    • Collaborate with teachers and curriculum specialists to align library resources with the school's educational objectives.
    • Assist students and faculty in locating and utilizing resources for research and academic projects.
    • Provide support for integrating technology into research and learning activities.
  • Promotion of Reading and Literacy:
    • Develop and implement programs to foster a love for reading and literacy among high school students.
    • Organize book clubs, author visits, and other initiatives to engage students in reading.
    • Promote library resources through newsletters, displays, and other communication channels.
  • Information Literacy Instruction:
