Reporting to theQuality Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering partners, equipment vendors, process engineeringteamand manufacturing operationsteamtohelpestablishand operate an industry-leading precision fermentation facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and help lead food safety and quality assurance programs, including HACCP, GMP, and internal audits.
  • Investigate and managecustomer complaints, non-conformances, and CAPAs.
  • Conduct and supportinternal and external audits, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Assistwith customer questionnaires and regulatory inquiries.
  • Assistwith customer inquiries on standard documentation requests.
  • Assistwith food safety certification processes and maintenance.
  • Maintain and calibrateanalytical instrumentationused in QA/QC testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensureregulatory complianceand continuous improvement.
  • AssistinQC testingof raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products when necessary.
  • Assistwithmaintainingaccurateand organizedquality documentationand records.
  • Support implementation and maintenance ofPCQIor equivalent food safety plans.
  • Work closely with the manufacturingoperations tomaintainquality control systems.
  • Maintain lab organization and cleanliness.
  • Follow good laboratory practices tomaintaingood record keeping practices.
  • Assistwith audits (customer and internal) tomaintainquality management systems.
  • Assistwith the development andimprovement ofdocumentation, methodsand applybest practices,standardsand proceduresforquality.
  • Investigate quality incidents to help reduce out of specification products.
  • Championemployeeand product safety andparticipateinkey safetyandfood safetyreviews.
  • Build strong relationships andinterfaceeffectively withcolleagues.
  • Completeother duties asrequired.

Job Requirements:

  • The incumbent must be based in Richmond, Indianaprior to the facility start-up.
  • Bachelors Degree in eitherScience or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous work experience in food manufacturing or biomanufacturing is required.
  • Strong knowledge offood safety regulations(FDA, FSMA, HACCP, GMP) isrequired.
  • Extensive experience in a labsetting and quality control isrequired.
  • Experience withinstrumentationsuch as HPLC, spectrophotometers, or similar isrequired.
  • Familiarity withquality systemsand complaint handling processes isrequired.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • PCQI or HACCP certificationor equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, andresults-oriented.
  • Energized at the idea of helping to create and build a positive work culture.
