Job description

Woodward Tahoe (Boreal and Soda Springs), located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range, is a year-round world-class action sports facility with a culture that comes straight from our main product: Fun. As a Planet Kids Supervisor at Woodward Tahoe, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, fun, and exceptional experience for our youngest guests while supporting and leading the Planet Kids team. You'll help bring Woodward's culture of fun to life by ensuring the Planet Kids area is organized, staffed, and operating at a high level every day.

This role is responsible for the daily oversight of Planet Kids staff and operations, including assigning staff placements, tasks, and lessons, monitoring the quality of work, and helping ensure lessons are accurately organized and available. The Planet Kids Supervisor serves as a key point of contact for staff and guests and works closely with Guest Services and the Guest Operations Manager to ensure a seamless guest experience.

This is primarily a Full Time Seasonal position with awesome perks and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily Planet Kids operations and staff

  • Assign daily staff placements, tasks, and lessons

  • Monitor staff performance and the quality of work being delivered

  • Input and organize lessons to ensure accurate availability and scheduling

  • Provide exceptional guest service and help create memorable experiences for families and children

  • Serve as a first point of contact for de-escalating disgruntled staff members and/or guests

  • Address guest concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions

  • Assist the Guest Operations Manager with the daily organization and operation of Planet Kids

  • Work closely with Guest Services and Guest Operations to ensure accurate lesson availability and organization

  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a guest service or resort environment

  • Experience working with children and/or youth programs is strongly preferred

  • Strong guest service mindset with an outgoing, friendly, and approachable attitude

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations and de-escalating guest or employee concerns
