Summary:

The Legal Intern assists the legal team in supporting the company's business operations. The intern conducts legal research, reviews contracts, organizes legal documentation, and helps monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position offers hands-on experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, employment, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, policies, and legal correspondence.
  • Support contract management processes, including tracking deadlines and maintaining legal records.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including preparing board materials and maintaining corporate records.
  • Help monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect business operations.
  • Support compliance initiatives, audits, investigations, and risk management projects.
  • Organize and maintain legal files, databases, and document repositories.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments as needed.
  • Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree.
  • Strong academic record and interest in corporate or business law.
