Job description

Lee, Landrum & Ingle is a national firm and is seeking for its Las Vegas, Nevada, office a legal assistant/secretary with a minimum of 2-3 years of Nevada/California experience in a litigation office.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Calendaring / Scheduling

• Arranging depositions

• Confirming appointments

• Managing files for complex litigation matters / Bates stamping / Document / File Management

• Cataloging documentation

• Drafting letters, form court documents

• Compiling service lists and matrices

• Assisting attorneys with their caseloads

• Scan to PDF incoming mail and save to appropriate case file

• Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations

• Electronic filing State and Federal Court, as well as Supreme Court

• Order medical records

• Occasional front desk coverage

Strong communication skills are required for frequent interaction with court personnel, opposing counsel and clients. Candidate must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, able to work as part of a team and be able to prioritize work effectively. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel preferred.
