Job description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ASSISTANT in the SELECTION AND PLACEMENT DIVISION of NSTC GREAT LAKES.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Processing large volumes of program applications (e.g., scholarships, academic placements, or grants) to determine eligibility and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines; 2) Utilizing complex, multi-interface personnel or financial databases to enter, audit, and track data for program reporting and quality assurance; 3) Coordinating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., medical boards, legal offices, or academic institutions) to process waivers, resolve discrepancies, and clarify procedural policies; 4) Generating database queries, compiling statistical data, and drafting technical reports or correspondence used by leadership to respond to high-level organizational inquiries; 5) Providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support for formal selection boards, executive panels, or training events, to include developing review plans and documenting board outcomes; and 6) Delivering operational training or procedural guidance to internal staff and external partners regarding program application processes and system operations.
