Legal Specialist The Role at a Glance

We’re looking for a Legal Specialist to join our Legal & Risk team and provide support to the Associate General Counsel. This role will support a variety of legal activities, including contract review and drafting, RFPs, and legal requests.

You’ll work closely with teams across the organization to help ensure legal documents and requests follow established standards and processes. You’ll also partner with members of the Legal team and outside counsel while supporting projects and day-to-day legal operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Draft and review contracts, amendments, renewals, letters of understanding, and other legal correspondence
  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and provide legal guidance and clarification
  • Review client-drafted agreements and work with internal business teams and external parties to address and negotiate non-standard terms
  • Review incoming legal requests through Zendesk and route or assign requests to the appropriate Legal team member or support function
  • Ensure legal requests and documentation follow established department processes and workflows
  • Maintain organized and accurate legal records
  • Develop and contribute to training materials and training sessions for business teams and company leadership
  • Provide responsive support to internal teams while managing multiple requests and priorities
  • Assist with Legal and cross-functional projects and process improvements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of legal, paralegal, or related experience
  • Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and working with legal documents
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills when working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Comfortable learning and working within legal, document-management, ticketing, or other business systems
Location:

This position is based at Elior’s Minneapolis, MN office. In office three days in office and two days remote. Office Location:1515 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55113

Compensation

Compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
