What is a legacy event?

Legacy Events are specialized gatherings, ceremonies, or activities designed to commemorate, celebrate, or honor significant milestones, achievements, or individuals. These events often aim to create lasting memories and can be held by families, organizations, companies, or communities to mark important occasions such as anniversaries, retirements, or memorials. Planning a Legacy Event typically involves careful consideration of the honoree's values, history, and impact to ensure the occasion is meaningful and memorable for all attendees.

How do legacy events professionals typically collaborate with other departments during large-scale event planning?

In Legacy Events roles, collaboration with other departments—such as marketing, operations, finance, and communications—is essential to ensure successful event execution. Professionals often participate in cross-functional planning meetings to coordinate logistics, align event goals with organizational objectives, and manage resources effectively. Regular communication helps mitigate risks, resolve challenges promptly, and ensure all stakeholders are informed about event timelines and deliverables. Building strong working relationships across teams is a key part of the role, especially when organizing high-profile or multi-day events.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a legacy events coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Legacy Events Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, event planning experience, and a background in hospitality or marketing, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with event management software, budgeting tools, and venue coordination systems is essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and adaptability are standout soft skills for managing stakeholders and addressing last-minute challenges. These skills ensure seamless event execution, attendee satisfaction, and the successful promotion of an organization's legacy or mission.

Job description

Join the Alpine Legacy Group

Empower People. Build a Career. Leave a Legacy.

At Alpine Legacy Group, we help families protect what matters most — and we help our team members grow into the best version of themselves. As we expand into new markets, we’re looking for driven, community-minded individuals who want to take charge of their income, enjoy flexibility, and make a lasting impact.

The Role

As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll start with hands-on training that combines online learning, field mentorship, and real-world experience in your local area. You’ll partner with a field trainer who will walk you through everything from sales basics to client relationships. No prior sales experience is required — we provide all the training you’ll need, as long as you bring the right attitude and strong work ethic.

You’ll manage your own local territory, meet with business owners and their employees, and introduce them to our supplemental insurance programs that protect against life’s unexpected events.

What You’ll Do
  • Build relationships with local businesses through in-person visits, networking, and referrals.

  • Conduct group and individual meetings to identify client needs.

  • Use our CRM to manage leads, track progress, and grow your book of business.

  • Stay in close contact with your team through regular calls and meetings.

  • Set and achieve personal sales goals while maintaining an organized schedule.

What We’re Looking For
  • A people person with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive, coachable, and goal-oriented.

  • Self-motivated with great time-management skills.

  • Competitive or leadership background a plus (athletics, coaching, or team environments).

Requirements
  • Background check, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

  • Active Health & Life Insurance License — or willingness to obtain (we’ll cover study materials and state fees).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (athletic or sales backgrounds considered).

Compensation & Perks
  • Weekly draw + uncapped commissions.

  • Monthly cash bonuses, quarterly stock shares, and vested renewal income.

  • Paid incentive trips to top destinations.

  • Health, dental, and vision benefits after 60 days.

  • Promotions based on results — not tenure.

  • Flexible schedule and continuous professional development.

Join us and start building your legacy with Alpine Legacy Group.
