A Tennessee public school kindergarten teacher is primarily responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing effective instruction that aligns directly with the Tennessee State Standards. Operating under the guidelines of the local Board of Education and the Tennessee Department of Education, the teacher creates a foundational, structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of young learners.

Core Responsibilities
  • Instructional Planning: Design daily lesson plans focusing on early literacy, mathematics, science, and foundational social skills.
  • Standards Alignment: Deliver curriculum structured around state learning targets and objectives.
  • Differentiated Learning: Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles, speeds, and developmental gaps.
