Job description

TITLE: Assistant Manager

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

Basic Purpose:

The Brahmin Leather Works Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in creating a store environment which provides exceptional sales and customer service; executing visuals directions: and recruiting, developing and retaining a strong selling team. The Assistant Store Manager manages a staff of key holders and sales associates. This position is responsible for a sales goals and eligible for sales commission.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Talent Management:

โ— Manage staff by providing timely coaching and feedback to maximize individual and team performance.

โ— Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a positive work environment.

โ— Support the education of the store team fashion trends and product knowledge.

โ— Maintain two-way communication with the Store Manager to stay abreast of company/store information and brand initiatives as well as inform the manager of all
store activities.

โ— Ensure associates meet appearance standards that professionally represent the brand.

โ— Support an environment that positions Brahmin Leather Works as an Employer of Choice.

โ— Support effective on boarding and support learning opportunities.

โ— Provide basic direction to associates and appropriately delegates tasks.

โ— Support Store Manager with recruiting functions: Network, Recruit, Interview.

โ— Support Store Manager with developing talent: Ensure effective on-boarding.

โ— Provide timely coaching and feedback to associates when appropriate: Support the Store Manager with performance issues.

Sales and Service:

โ— Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: DPTs, UPTs, AURs and Customer Conversion.

โ— Use company resources and personal leadership to facilitate and sustain a strong selling environment that holds associates accountable for
achieving productivity standards and other sales metrics.

โ— Analyze store reports to optimize performance and take action based on business trends.

โ— Lead by example and maintain consistent selling and service standards through communication, training and individual accountability. Assist in identifying
opportunities to maximize sales and ensure financial goals are achieved.

โ— Demonstrate a high level of selling and customer service skills to achieve sales.

โ— Service multiple customers at a time or handle projects simultaneously.

โ— Exhibits knowledge of industry trends and competitors.

Building Clientele:

โ— Manage and guide associates to consistently market Brahmin brand initiatives and grow key sales and service metrics

โ— Ensure exceptional selling interactions that guarantee meaningful experience and build brand relationships.

โ— Drive brand loyalty by supporting all service enhancers to build strong relationships, including active use of clients books and marketing
initiatives with local business for store events.

โ— Take an active role in assisting the Store Manager team to build store business.

Store Operations:

โ— Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the business.

โ— Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

โ— Protect company assets and maintain a safe work environment.

โ— Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal employment laws.

โ— Support the planning and execution of Brahmin brand visual direction.

โ— Participate and lead special projects and other duties as assigned.

โ— Has a strong sense of drive, ambition, and passion for selling ensuring the overall success of store business.

โ— Must be outgoing and assertive with the ability to make store business successful.

โ— Ability to communicate professionally and in a timely matter with the Store Manager, customers, associates, and company partners.

โ— Ability to lead by example and maintain consistent selling and service standards through communication, training and individual accountability.

โ— Ability to partner with management on store issues.

โ— Maintain professional appearance that reflects the brand.

โ— Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business including opening/closing shifts as well as weekends and holidays.

โ— Physical requirements: Must be able to stand up to 100% of a work shift standing and moving. This role involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for the entire work shift. Occasionally involves stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

โ— 2+ years of leadership experience in luxury goods or a minimum of 4 years in a comparable retail environment with a focus on clienteling.

โ— Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred. Associateโ€™s Degree required.
