Lease Administrator

Columbus, OH | 100% Onsite | $55,000โ€“$65,000

Take Ownership of a Growing Commercial Real Estate Portfolio

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Administrator to join their team and play an important role in the financial and administrative management of a growing commercial real estate portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial real estate, lease administration, property accounting, or lease accounting experience who enjoys a position that combines accounting, financial analysis, tenant relationships, and property operations.

Youโ€™ll work closely with accounting and property management teams while serving as a key resource for lease data, tenant billing, reconciliations, collections, and lease compliance.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Analyze and abstract commercial lease agreements, ensuring key financial and operational terms are accurately captured.

  • Set up and maintain tenant accounts, lease information, billing schedules, and rent invoicing.

  • Prepare and reconcile CAM and operating expense reconciliations.

  • Review general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies related to tenant and property accounts.

  • Coordinate tenant billbacks, collections, security deposits, and other lease-related transactions.

  • Maintain accurate lease records and monitor critical dates, renewals, escalations, and other lease milestones.

  • Communicate with tenants regarding billing, account questions, insurance requirements, and lease-related matters.

  • Track tenant insurance certificates and assist with ongoing lease compliance.

  • Coordinate utility transfers and other administrative activities associated with tenant occupancy.

  • Partner with property managers and accounting professionals to resolve issues and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Assist with reporting, audits, special projects, and process improvements as needed.

What Youโ€™ll Bring
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred; Associateโ€™s degree considered with relevant experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate, lease administration, property accounting, lease accounting, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of lease terms, tenant billing, reconciliations, and commercial real estate accounting.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting, property management, tenants, and other stakeholders.
