This Position reports to:

Project Management Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of projects within the Canadian ABB Electrification Business. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. In this role, you will establish the approach, oversee the handover, plan and monitor/control project activities. Your responsibilities include meeting the project contractual scope/agreement, financial targets, quality standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, and schedule commitments.


The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading projects, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.

  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.

  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

  • Participating in continuous improvement of Project Management processes, tools, and templates.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

  • 8 years of experience in project management dealing with medium complexity electrification projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, financials, schedules, customers, vendors/subcontractors with strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems - Low/Med Voltage AC SwitchGear, MCCs, Transformers, Switchboards, Panelboards and ATS

  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Projects, MS Office applications, SFDC and Empower platforms.

  • PMP certification is an asset.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - French & English required
