Early Learning Assistant/Floater

The YMCA of Collier County is seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Early Learning Assistant/Floater to support our Early Learning Program serving children ages 2-5 years at our Marco Island Branch.ย  This position works closely with teachers and program leadership to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Schedule:
This position typically works Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. For the right candidate with broader availability, there may be an opportunity to expand into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, curriculum implementation, and daily routines.
  • Provide attentive supervision to ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Help maintain accurate attendance and developmental records.
  • Prepare classrooms and playground areas for daily activities and assist with cleaning and organization.
  • Communicate positively with parents and families, sharing updates and celebrating children's successes.
  • Assist with Kid Zone coverage and serve as a substitute when lead teachers are absent.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain YMCA policies, procedures, and standards while supporting the YMCA's mission and values.
