Job description

Almac Group is currently seeking a Product Manager Patient Management for our Durham, NC location. The Product Manager for IMPower Patient Management is accountable for shaping, delivering, and continuously improving patient-management capabilities within the IMPower platform to ensure safe, compliant, user-centered clinical trial execution and measurable business value
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Product Vision amp; Value Definition Contribute to product vision and value proposition for patient management. Identify unmet needs across randomization, visit scheduling, cohort management, workflow orchestration, and data exchange. Define strategic outcomes including efficiency, compliance, adoption, and data quality.
  • Roadmap Ownership Develop and maintain an actionable product roadmap balancing long-term strategy with short-term clinical and operational priorities. Translate business goals, compliance requirements, and customer needs into prioritized product decisions.
  • Backlog Management amp; Delivery Leadership Own and groom product backlog for patient-management EPICs, features, and defects. Define acceptance criteria, user journeys, and value statements. Partner with Engineering, IS, and BAs to support sprint planning, refinement, and release scoping.
  • Launch, Adoption amp; Continuous Improvement Coordinate with Business Champion, Change Manager, and BPM to ensure release readiness. Monitor adoption, usage, and feature performance. Drive iterative improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance (including 21 CFR Part 11).
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • BA degree or equivalent OR HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 10 yearsโ€™ experience or product management or product ownership experience
  • 5+ years of product management or product ownership experience
  • 5+ years of product management or product ownership experience
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience with eClinical or RTSM/IRT systems
  • 3+ years experience working across full SDLC in agile and/or hybrid delivery models
  • 3+ years direct partnership with clinical operations teams
  • Clinical trial execution and patient workflows
  • Digital product delivery in regulated environments
  • Compliance, data integrity, and audit readiness
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, randomization, visit schedules, and patient workflows
  • 10% travel, domestic and International
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • MBA or postgraduate in Business, Life Sciences, Technology, or related field
  • Certification in Product Management, Agile (Scrum PO), UX, or Digital Health
  • Patient management or RTSM platforms
  • Supply chain or clinical data system integration
  • Regulatory environments including FDA 21 CFR Part 11
  • Post-go-live optimization and benefits realization
  • UX and user-centered design
  • Clinical data flows and interoperability
