The North America External Fulfillment L&D team is seeking an innovative Sr. Learning Experience Designer to join our dynamic and expanding team.
In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance learning programs that impact customers worldwide in Amazon's EF network. As a self-motivated professional with a passion for learning and development, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and program managers to create impactful content and implement program offerings. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, with a strong foundation in data-driven decision making.
We're looking for someone who combines analytical thinking with strong communication skills. • Analyze, design, develop, and evaluate training solutions aligned with business objectives for NAEF
• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to gather requirements and create learning content
• Design and develop engaging e-learning modules, ILT facilitator and participant guides, reference materials, and other creative and learning assets using various authoring tools
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to course development
• Publish, assign, and track training completion and assessment scores in Learn LMS
• Ensure consistency in learning design across multiple programs and platforms
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Conduct needs assessments and identify performance gaps
• Measure and evaluate training effectiveness through various assessment methods
• Stay current with industry trends and learning technologies
• Maintain course content and curriculum documentation
• Lead specialized initiatives in cross-skilling content development and quality-driven continuous learning interventions
• Own and launch Policy 2.0 for NAEF
• Develop scalable modular content architecture that serves diverse global audiences

A day in the life
As a Sr. Learning Experience Designer, you'll design learning programs impacting teams across our global hiring operations. Your day might start with project kick-offs, collaborating with stakeholders to define learning objectives. You could work with subject matter experts transforming complex information into engaging lesson plans. Afternoons might involve developing e-learning modules, creating multimedia content, or gathering feedback. You'll balance multiple projects-from concept to implementation-ensuring maximum impact for learners across 102 sites in 23 countries. Beyond design work, you might troubleshoot platform issues, present to leaders, or mentor team members.
About the team
The NAEF L&D team designs and implements learning solutions across Amazon's External Fulfillment ecosystem, supporting providers, Associates, Support Teams, Subject Matter Experts, and Managers in Operations facilities and Customer Service. Our team of L&D professionals create standardized, scalable training programs deployable globally while maintaining local flexibility. We enhance productivity, ensure quality standards, and optimize operational efficiency through data-driven approaches. Our 2026 strategy targets role readiness, cross-skilling, quality defect reduction, and facilitator certification.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience developing and implementing training programs
- Experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities including ILT, e-learning and video
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools and other design programs including: Storyline/Rise 360, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, and Camtasia
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Experience with instructional design, curriculum architecture, or training program development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Learning Design Principles, Learning Science, Educational Psychology or a related field
- 2+ years of learning and development or employee compliance training experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of with Learning & Development and course facilitation experience
- 2+ years of stakeholder or account management experience
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience in a training role, including technical training

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
