Job Duties

  • Teach flight courses in a web format (asynchronous online) using the learning management system (LMS) D2L Bright Space or in-person on one of the Roane State Campuses. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Valid Flight Instructor Certification for single and multiengine, instrument airplanes
Experience and record of signing off for student pilots to take their written and practical tests.
Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in instructing the following areas: aircraft systems, aerodynamics, the flight environment, communications and flight information, aviation meteorology, aircraft performance and weight and balance, navigation, and aviation physiology.
