General Description
Provide support for students preparing for progress testing in one of the Adult Learning Labs at either the OCCC Family and Community Education Center (FACE) or the OCCC Community Outreach and Education lab - Main Campus.

Enrollment Specialist, ESL program
What position(s) reports to this position?

Minimum Education/Experience
Must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours or more for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester.
Or
Current OCCC student with Federal Work Study Program award.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic computer skills.
Helpful attitude.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with or without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or High School Equivalency.
English/Spanish language ability.
Required Training
Training in the procedures of the Adult Learning Lab upon employment.
Work Hours
Work hours are scheduled around student's schedule. Day and evening hours are available.

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement)
Maintain sign-in records of students visiting the Adult Learning Lab.
Prepare and set up computer for progress testing (CASAS, TABE etc)
identify, notify and schedule students eligible for testing.
Promote the Adult Learning Lab by visiting classes.
Proctor progress testing.
Inform Enrollment Specialist about any items pertaining to progress testing.
Job Duties (Safety / Policy & Procedures)
Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures
Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation and shelter in place drills and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
