Position Overview:

The Learning Consultant leads the ongoing learning experience for the OCHIN collaborative, developing our roadmap, needs assessment and feedback loops. This role uses performance analytics to deliver data-driven recommendations, lead improvements and accelerate continuous improvement across the Learning Division.

Accountable for KPIs and delivery metrics, the Learning Consultant ensures initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measurable impact. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and evaluation of high-quality learning experiences across virtual and onsite environments. This role leads scalable learning solutions, including developing a Super User programs that strengthen peer expertise and accelerate adoption of systems and workflows. It also develops and optimizes onboarding frameworks to ensure consistent and effective new hire experiences.

Operating with significant autonomy, the Learning Consultant brings a strategic, creative, and service-oriented mindset. These individual builds trusted partnerships, identifies systemic challenges, and drives efficient, evidence-based solutions leveraging facilitation and influence to scale best practices and strengthen the full learning lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead in the design, development and implementation of Learning Experience curricula, including multi-day bootcamps, full and part day webinars, and autodidactic curricula.
  • Work intensively with health center teams participating in assigned projects to refine their Learning/Training Team implement best practice concepts.
  • Design, develop, and implement member assessments/consults around Learning/Training performance and evaluate needs to identify opportunities for improvements and possible solutions.
  • Lead in the coordination of member consultations, including planning meeting logistics, communicating with members, preparing content for meetings, and coordinating follow-up.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Learning and Training management experience in similar or relevant role in safety net organizations ideally training and supporting in Epic EHR. 10 Years of applicable experience desired
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, and executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise learning strategies, including needs assessment, curriculum design, and performance measurement.
  • Proven ability to analyze KPIs, learning metrics, and outcomes to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable learning solutions, including Epic Super User or peer-led enablement programs.
  • Expertise in onboarding strategy and delivery, with a focus on creating consistent and effective new hire experiences.
  • Epic certifications strongly preferred, TED300 Completion Required
  • Desired certifications in at least one Epic module with preference given to EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude Resolute PB, ClinDoc, ASAP or Optime.
  • Experience working with or supporting Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), health systems, or acute care environments required.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating strategic thinking, creativity, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Commitment to a customer-service orientation, with a focus on delivering practical, high-impact solutions.
  • Travel requirement of approximately 15-25% to support national on-site support.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.
