ENTEK is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Technical Writer to support our Training and Development team in Lebanon, Oregon. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in instructional design, curriculum development, training content creation, or simplifying complex information into engaging learning materials.If you are passionate about creating clear documentation, designing user-focused learning experiences, and helping others succeed through effective communication and training, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Writer at ENTEK, you'll play a key role in developing instructional and process documentation that supports employee learning and operational success across our manufacturing environment. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and cross-functional teams to transform technical processes into accessible, user-friendly learning resources.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop clear, concise work instructions, SOPs, user guides, and training materials 
  • Design and organize instructional content that supports employee learning and knowledge retention 
  • Create and support online learning materials, including videos, presentations, and digital documentation 
  • Translate complex technical information into simplified, easy-to-understand resources for diverse audiences 
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather information and document best practices 
  • Observe manufacturing processes to understand workflows, training needs, and opportunities for process improvement 
  • Create process documentation and structured learning resources that improve consistency and operational effectiveness 
  • Incorporate visuals such as photos, diagrams, formatting, and instructional aids to enhance learner engagement 
  • Collaborate with Training & Development staff and stakeholders to review, revise, and finalize educational content 
  • Support curriculum development initiatives and ongoing training programs 
  • Follow established publishing and documentation standards to maintain accurate and accessible training resources 
  • Identify opportunities to improve training materials, documentation systems, and learning processes

Requirements

What We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, curriculum development, training content creation, or process documentation 
  • Strong writing, proofreading, editing, and formatting skills 
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear instructional materials and user-friendly documentation 
  • Experience creating educational resources, learning guides, or process-based training materials 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing instructional materials, curriculum, or employee training programs 
  • Background in education, training, adult learning, instructional support, or learning & development 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders 
  • Experience in manufacturing or technical environments 
  • Portfolio or examples of instructional, technical, or educational writing projects
