What You'll DoAs a Technical Writer at ENTEK, you'll play a key role in developing instructional and process documentation that supports employee learning and operational success across our manufacturing environment. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and cross-functional teams to transform technical processes into accessible, user-friendly learning resources.
In this role, you will:
- Develop clear, concise work instructions, SOPs, user guides, and training materialsย
- Design and organize instructional content that supports employee learning and knowledge retentionย
- Create and support online learning materials, including videos, presentations, and digital documentationย
- Translate complex technical information into simplified, easy-to-understand resources for diverse audiencesย
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather information and document best practicesย
- Observe manufacturing processes to understand workflows, training needs, and opportunities for process improvementย
- Create process documentation and structured learning resources that improve consistency and operational effectivenessย
- Incorporate visuals such as photos, diagrams, formatting, and instructional aids to enhance learner engagementย
- Collaborate with Training & Development staff and stakeholders to review, revise, and finalize educational contentย
- Support curriculum development initiatives and ongoing training programsย
- Follow established publishing and documentation standards to maintain accurate and accessible training resourcesย
- Identify opportunities to improve training materials, documentation systems, and learning processes
Requirements
What We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, curriculum development, training content creation, or process documentationย
- Strong writing, proofreading, editing, and formatting skillsย
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear instructional materials and user-friendly documentationย
- Experience creating educational resources, learning guides, or process-based training materialsย
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)ย
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsย
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing instructional materials, curriculum, or employee training programsย
- Background in education, training, adult learning, instructional support, or learning & developmentย
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholdersย
- Experience in manufacturing or technical environmentsย
- Portfolio or examples of instructional, technical, or educational writing projectsย
