Job Description

S/he will help support JWV's Programs and Development departments by assisting with donor list research and curation, facilitating some of JWV's programs, administrative tasks, content creation for our quarterly newspaper and social media sites, and by helping plan JWV's largest event of the year, the annual national convention. S/he will report to the Programs/PR/Development Coordinator. The internship is based in Washington, DC, right by Dupont Circle. Numerous restaurants and stores nearby, right in the heart of Washington! Parking lot is available behind the office.

Qualifications
  • Working toward or completed a degree or higher in journalism, communications, nonprofit development, or similar
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to craft content on a variety of platforms; Ability to draft well-written correspondence and proofread documents.
  • Strong verbal, social media, and web research skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable and detail-oriented multi-tasker
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and proactively
  • The ideal intern is a highly organized individual with superb communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office programs, including Excel and Word.
