Position Summary:
This position will help create, implement, and sustain a standardized on-the-job training certification program (OJT) and additional training solutions across a BBU region with a strong focus on bakery manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on, working closely with frontline teams and leadership to drive manufacturing excellence through skills development. Frequent travel to bakeries is required. They will collaborate with Operations Excellence (OX), North America Talent Development Bakery Leadership, HR Business Partners, Functional Experts, and Training Coordinators (where applicable).
Objective:
  • Provide structure and guidance through a standardized approach to OJT to enhance frontline onboarding, skill development, and manufacturing operational readiness.
  • Drive consistency of frontline associate training aligned to bakery manufacturing processes.
  • Support national OX and Talent initiatives, working with a "One Team" mindset.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for adult learning as a partner for bakery leadership and manufacturing operational training.
  • Work with bakeries to implement the On-The-Job Training program, collecting, assessing, developing, and validating content
  • Host Train-the-Facilitator and Train-the-Trainer sessions to certify Training Coordinators and Floor Trainers
  • Engage directly on the bakery floor to observe, coach, and support OJT execution and reinforce manufacturing best practices.
  • Co-facilitate the OX Playbook, Co-facilitate OX Coaching for Performance
  • Look for synergies with other locations for sharing best practices and content
  • Manage skills development with bakery leadership and replicate training program best practices and resources across assigned bakeries
  • Collaborate with business partners, including Bakery leadership, Training Coordinators (where applicable), Safety, and People Teams to ensure associates complete requirements
  • Partner with bakery leadership teams to assess associate capabilities and provide necessary feedback on skill level or additional required training, including supporting the build of the skill gap analysis
  • Identify and share best practices to solve for learning & development needs across all facilities
  • Ensure focus on OX People & Culture KPIs
  • Travel required (approximately 60-75% regionally; occasional national travel based on business needs).
  • Work flexible work schedules when necessary to accommodate operation shifts and training needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Work History:
  • Four-year college degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and training role preferred
  • Hands-on Experience writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other manufacturing detailed training tools
  • A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted
