We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Permitted Preschool Teacher to join our team and support children ages 0–5 in a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and nurturing environment. As a key member of our teaching team, you will lead learning experiences that spark curiosity, foster independence, and promote a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and assess a play-based, Reggio-inspired curriculum in alignment with the Creative Curriculum framework.
  • Create a classroom environment that is developmentally appropriate, inclusive, safe, and supportive of each child’s individual needs.
  • Lead engaging activities that support the cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and language development of young children.
  • Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development using tools aligned with curriculum and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers, center staff, and families to ensure continuity of care and shared educational goals.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding their child’s progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
  • Ensure compliance with Title 22 California Child Care Licensing Regulations and Learning Jungle policies at all times.
  • Supervise children closely and maintain ratios and health/safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training, reflective practice, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid California Child Development Permit (Associate Teacher, Teacher, or higher).
  • At least 12 ECE units (including core units in Child Growth & Development, Child/Family/Community, and Curriculum), with 6 months or more of experience in a licensed early childhood setting.
  • Experience planning and implementing curriculum for children ages 0–5, preferably within a play-based or Reggio-inspired environment.
  • Knowledge of California Title 22 regulations and early childhood best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach to teaching.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings per California licensing requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of walking, standing, bending, squatting and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Able to move quickly to respond to children's needs and to ensure child safety.
