LC State invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions - one 9-month position and one 11-month position.Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $63,000 - $66,000 for the 9-month position; $77,000 - $80,667 for the 11-month positionDegree Required: Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or universityRequired Qualifications:Active, unencumbered ID RN license or eligible to attain.Must have current healthcare provider CPR certification and be able to meet health and immunization requirements.Current clinical nursing experience in areas such as population/community health, nursing leadership, and healthcare policy.Detail-oriented, resourceful, excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills, and able to work autonomously within a collaborative and dynamic faculty group.Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office applications, Canvas Learning Management System, TEAMS, and other instructional technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university.Experience teaching in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program.Experience with curriculum development.Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor students.Experience with online and/ or distance instruction of nursing courses.Responsibilities:These 9-month or 11-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty members will be responsible for teaching face-to-face didactic and clinical nursing courses as assigned for pre-licensure BSN students, for teaching online coursework for RN-BSN students, and/or for teaching online courses for the nursing graduate program. These teaching assignments are a 9-month contract or an 11-month contract with pay and benefits over 12 months. The successful candidate will participate in curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and revision and will provide support to enrolled program and pre-program students.
