Job description

Content Marketing Manager
TimelyCare
TimelyCare is a clinically accountable virtual care provider built specifically for education. Trusted by nearly 500 campuses across the U.S., TimelyCare combines URAC-accredited clinical standards with a measurement-based approach and a partnership-first model to help institutions champion well-being with clarity, accountability, and real-world impact. Through a seamless, easy-to-access platform, TimelyCare offers a comprehensive range of services, including a crisis line, mental health counseling, on-demand emotional support, medical care, psychiatric care, health coaching, success coaching, basic needs assistance, faculty and staff guidance, peer support, and self-guided wellness tools. TimelyCare drives clinically validated improvements in depression and anxiety, supporting healthier learning environments.
The Role
TimelyCare is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to define and evolve our brand presence through strategic storytelling, thought leadership, and measurable content marketing. Reporting to the VP of Brand Strategy, this role is responsible for creating market differentiation by positioning TimelyCare as the trusted voice of student wellbeing education, and the future of care.
More than a content strategist, this leader will build and scale a modern, AI-enabled content operation that transforms customer insights, research, executive perspectives, and industry trends into compelling narratives that audiences intentionally seek out. They will establish editorial franchises, develop original research and intellectual property, elevate executive thought leadership, and create a measurable content ecosystem that strengthens brand awareness, trust, and business growth.
This role partners closely with Brand, Creative, Product Marketing, Communications, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Sales, and executive leadership to ensure every piece of content reinforces TimelyCare's mission while driving meaningful engagement across every stage of the customer journey.
Location
This is a remote position. Reviewing candidates across the country.
What You'll Do
Lead Editorial Strategy & Thought Leadership
  • Own TimelyCare's editorial vision and long-term content strategy.
  • Identify and own strategic conversations across higher education, healthcare, mental health, AI, and the future of care.
  • Develop recurring editorial franchises, signature content series, and narrative themes that differentiate the brand.
  • Transform customer insights, original research, and executive expertise into compelling thought leadership.
  • Interview executives, customers, clinicians, and industry experts to uncover authentic stories.
  • Create content audiences intentionally seek out-not simply content that fills a calendar.

Build an AI-Native Content Operation
  • Design, build, and continuously improve TimelyCare's content operating system, including editorial planning, governance, AI-enabled workflows, production processes, content lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Leverage AI for research, drafting, editing, repurposing, and content production while maintaining editorial excellence.
  • Build prompt libraries, governance standards, editorial QA, and scalable human review processes.
  • Transform a single strategic idea into multiple high-quality content formats across channels.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and implement best practices that improve efficiency and quality.

Turn Customer Insights into Storytelling
  • Conduct customer interviews and uncover behavioral insights, trust drivers, and decision journeys.
  • Apply behavioral science and jobs-to-be-done research to shape messaging and content strategy.
  • Translate complex healthcare and higher education topics into clear, engaging, human-centered stories.
  • Develop content that resonates with students, campus leaders, and executive decision-makers.

Drive Multi-Channel Distribution
  • Build integrated distribution strategies across owned, earned, social, executive, and partner channels.
  • Partner with PR and Social leads to grow executive thought leadership through LinkedIn, newsletters, podcasts, PR, and community partnerships.
  • Maximize reach by strategically repurposing content across formats and audiences.

Develop Original Research & Intellectual Property
  • Identify opportunities for proprietary research and partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop studies, benchmark reports, surveys, and data-driven insights that strengthen TimelyCare's market authority.
  • Create annual reports, student mental health indices, benchmark studies, surveys, and AI and well-being research.
  • Leverage original research to fuel SEO, PR, executive thought leadership, sales enablement, and demand generation.

Elevate Executive Storytelling
  • Partner with executive leaders to build recognizable thought leadership platforms.
  • Ghostwrite articles, opinion pieces, keynote presentations, executive communications, and social content.
  • Translate complex expertise into authentic, accessible stories that build credibility and trust.

Measure Content Impact
  • Build a measurable content marketing system focused on business outcomes.
  • Track and optimize KPIs including share of voice, brand search, influenced pipeline, executive engagement, assisted conversions, audience growth, returning readership, and content engagement.
  • Conduct content audits and deliver actionable performance insights to leadership.
  • Establish scalable content processes and perform additional tasks and projects as needed to support the evolving needs of team objectives and company goals.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, journalism, or thought leadership within B2B SaaS, healthcare, higher education, technology, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven success developing editorial strategies that build brand authority and measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling abilities across multiple formats.
  • Experience transforming customer research, executive insights, and complex subject matter into engaging content.
  • Demonstrated experience building AI-enabled content workflows and leveraging generative AI to improve content operations.
  • Experience creating executive thought leadership programs and ghostwriting for senior leaders.
  • Strong understanding of content distribution strategies across LinkedIn, newsletters, PR, podcasts, social media, SEO, and owned channels.
  • Experience developing original research, proprietary content, surveys, reports, or data-driven storytelling initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of content performance measurement, attribution, audience engagement, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Communications, Product Marketing, Sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience within healthcare, mental health, education, future of work, or technology industries is strongly preferred.
  • Background in editorial organizations, journalism, or publications is a plus.

Who You Are
  • A strategic storyteller who sees content as a competitive business advantage-not simply a marketing deliverable.
  • Naturally curious, with exceptional interviewing skills and a passion for uncovering meaningful customer insights.
  • Equal parts editorial strategist, marketer, and systems thinker.
  • Comfortable using AI as a force multiplier while maintaining exceptional editorial judgment.
  • Passionate about building trusted brands through authentic, research-backed storytelling.
  • Data-informed and outcome-oriented, balancing creativity with measurable business results.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and energized by working across diverse teams and executive stakeholders.

Benefits + Perks
  • Paid Company Holidays + No work on your birthday!
  • Flexible PTO + Volunteer Time Off (VTO) as an organization to give back to the community
  • Variable bonus eligibility on a quarterly basis
  • Company-sponsored Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) + Pet Insurance
  • Company-paid group Life Insurance + Company-paid Short Term Disability
  • Concierge benefit support services
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Free access to TimelyCare virtual medical and mental health support
  • Mission-Driven Purpose with a Supportive Team Culture

The salary range for this opportunity is $90,000-$100,000 per year, depending on education and experience. This is the base pay. You will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay, to be discussed during the interview process.
