Job Description:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Reference Design Engineer to own the development and manage the entire lifecycle of our reference designs. In this role, you will apply your embedded systems expertise to create new reference designs, enhance existing concepts, and validate the technical accuracy of content prior to publication. You will assist with the creation, publishing, and maintaining clear, high-quality web content that effectively highlights the value of our reference design assets.This position requires close collaboration with engineering, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure all content is technically accurate, consistent, and aligned with customer and business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering work with technical communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, review or update schematics, PCB layouts, block diagrams and other technical documentation to support reference design web pages

  • Develop or adapt embedded software for MCU/MPU based reference designs

  • Develop, publish, and maintain web content for reference designs to address emerging market segments such as Edge Computing/IoT, Data Centers, AI/ML, Sustainability, E-Mobility, and Networking/Connectivity

  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear, engaging web content

  • Ensure all web content is accurate, detailed, and meets quality standards

  • Create Salesforce projects to easily track and link reference designs to customer opportunities

  • Manage multiple reference design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues, contributing to release process improvements, and working effectively with other regions and divisional applications

  • Travel as needed for training or to support other regions

  • Perform additional job ralated responsibilities as directed by the manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BS or BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years of design experience in microcontroller or microprocessor based embedded systems

  • Minimum of 5 years of design experience with 8 & 32-bit embedded C programming

  • Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer and Siemens Xpedition

  • Practical experience using AI tools or AI-assisted engineering solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, & SharePoint

  • Excellent verbal and written skills including ability to write and present clear and concise technical information in English

  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and strong organizational skills

  • Possess an eager attitude toward learning new skills & technology

  • Work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude and a willingness to support others

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.

  • Ability to establish trust and credibility

  • Ability to operate under minimal guidance and assume personal responsibility/accountability

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000 - $166,000.*
